While addressing the country at Uganda Media Centre, Deputy Defence Spokesperson Col Deo Akiiki said UPDF to Reinforce Police in strict enforcement of 9pm Curfew.
“UPDF and its auxiliary forces shall support the police to now strictly enforce the curfew. The public is prior warned not to be on roads after 2100hrs unless you are authorized,” he said.
He also talked about the lawlessness that broke out after the arrest by Police of the NUP leader.
“We will carry out extensive pre-emptive and decisive operations to deal with the planned and premeditated designs of criminal minded elements in the entire Kampala metropolitan area and indeed in the entire country” he added
Col Deo Akiiki called upon Ugandans to cooperate with security to isolate a few criminal-minded people to keep our country safe and secure.
This comes after Bobi Wine’s brutal arrest on Wednesday 18 on reaching his campaign venue in Luuka District and was detained at Nalufenya Police Station.
