Uganda Cranes has been cleared to host World Cup Qualifiers at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende in Wakiso district
On Monday, Confederation of African Football (CAF) which is the African Football governing body included St Mary’s on the list of approved stadiums to host World Cup Qualifiers in Africa.
Recently Sports Minister Hamson Obua hinted on Uganda hosting matches from our neighboring countries that have better stadiums.
“Uganda only has St Mary’s Kitende and if the team of inspectors doesn’t approve it, we will have no choice but to host all our World Cup qualifiers in one of the countries outside Uganda,” – Hamson Obua said.
Uganda Cranes are in Group E with Rwanda, Mali and Kenya.
