Musician Dax Kartel holds a firm belief that the Uganda National Musician Federation (UNMF), led by Sheebah Karungi and Eddy Kenzo, will not bring about any significant impact in the music industry.
Expressing his views, he asserts, “The federation is more likely to benefit individuals rather than the industry as a whole.
Some aspects of our industry require expert knowledge. I believe our industry needs educated professionals to lead, rather than relying solely on entertainers.”

Dax Kartel further elaborates on his skepticism, particularly regarding the federation’s ability to make headway with copyright law. He acknowledges that while there is already legislation in place, there seems to be an invisible force hindering its effective implementation. According to him, the music industry will undoubtedly witness improvements, but he feels that these changes will occur in a different era, rather than the current one.
With these sentiments, Dax Kartel expresses his concerns about the UNMF and its potential impact on the music industry.
