Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60.

The Argentine Football Association confirmed the news on the evening of Wednesday, November 25, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Maradona was regarded as one of the greatest ever football players to grace the field and helped Argentina to a world cup win back in 1886.

The football god suffered a heart attack at his home which came just two weeks after leaving the hospital where he had undergone surgery on a blood clot in his brain.
