The government of Uganda has promised to secure Tablets for pupils in UPE schools across the country to facilitate digital learning.
Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Education Alex Kakooza says they partnered with War Child Holland Organisation to run a pilot study whether digital learning among pupils ca be attained in the country. He said they have started with 50 tablets distributed to Nalongo Primary School in Luwero District.

According to Kakooza, the closure of schools as a result of COVID-19 has taught government a lesson of a need to go digital as one of the options for community learning.
