The Jinja Road police are investigating a fire outbreak at Roka parking yard in Naguru II Parish, Naguru Go down, in Nakawa division, Kampala. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson says that, the fire that broke out around 3:30 pm burnt 24 motorcycles, two bi-cycles, and vehicles registration number UBL 935G land cruiser and UAR 088T Alex.

The affected parking yard belongs to a lady who was only identified as Christine but was under the supervision of a man known as Swaib Magala.

According to Onyango, the police fire and rescue services managed to rescue some vehicles before getting burnt.

He added that, “The fire started from the grass-thatched small house where the Boda bodas park. Investigations are ongoing,” he said in a brief statement.
