Following Bobi Wine’s brutal arrest on Wednesday, 18 November sparked off riots across some of the city centers of Uganda.

Police fired tear gas and live bullets to disperse protesters who blocked roads and burning tires demanding the release of Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who was arrested and detained at Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja.

Makerere University‘s Academic Registrar and management have decided to postpone examinations scheduled for Friday 20th and 21st Saturday.

“The Academic Registrar informs all students and other stakeholders that examinations scheduled for Friday 20th November and Saturday 21st November have been postponed. New dates for the conduct of the postponed examinations will be communicated later.
Any inconveniences caused by this announcement are highly regretted.” statement issued on official social media accounts.
