On Wednesday, 12, 2021 President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was sworn in at Kololo Independence grounds as the president of Uganda for the next five years until 2026.

At least 11 Heads of State from Africa attended and witnessed Museveni’s swearing in ceremony for his 6th term as President of the Republic of Uganda.

They include; Suluhu Samia Hassan (Tanzania), Sahle-Work Zewde (Ethiopia), Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo (Democratic Republic of Congo), Nana Akufo-Addo (Ghana), Alpha Condé (Guinea), Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe), Hage Gottfried Geingob (Namibia), Salva Kiir Mayardit (South Sudan), Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo (Somalia), Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya) and Évariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi).
