Last weekend on 20th Sept 2020, during the 20th presidential national address, President Museveni eased on the lockdown restrictions that were implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

During the National Address, president Museveni re-opened schools and other institutions for candidates and final year students respectively, they are to start on the 15th of October. The rest will be thought about early next year.

Today Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Hon Judith Nabakooba says there will be no dead year for school-going learners and that come October 15th, all students including those at home will embark on their second term until December.

She notes that the third term will be from January to April and then children will be assessed and promoted.
