Comedian Kenneth Kimuli ‘Pablo’ is the latest artiste to join elective politics after he joined the race for MP Bunyangabu county, Bunyangabu district.
He was officially nominated on Thursday at 10am.
Pablo said on Thursday that he joined politics to facilitate service delivery to the people of Bunyangabu.
He says issues like Education, health care, road infrastructure, water, electricity and helping young people nurture their talent will be high on his agenda
On the public perception that MPs are driven by financial gain rather than the needs of the electorate, Pablo said: “That is just a stereotype. I am not a politician. I’m a leader in order to serve, you have to listen”.
On why he is contesting as an independent, he said “The objective is to have an opinion that is not subjected to Terms and Conditions”.
