Today 9th November 2020 is the day that campaigns for presidential parliamentary and local council for 2021 elections kick off across the country.
Last week the electoral commission interacted with the presidential candidates to harmonize their campaign schedules to avoid clashing in the field during campaigns.
So offer the incumbent president Yoweri Museveni has released his campaigning schedule for this week saying that it starts today in Buganda, proceed to Lango and West Nile.
Museveni starts officially his campaigns in Luwero before heading to Lira and Apach.
FDC’s Amuriat Oboi is set to launch his campaigns in Soroti district barefooted as he promised.
He was recently forced to turn to the nomination center barefooted and it’s upon this that he decided to campaign footless.
Amuriat is to lead a processions of party leaders and some supporters to Eastern Uganda where his campaigning will officially start and make some stop overs to Jinja, Mbale and Soroti before heading there.
Bobi wine starts off in Arua, Nebbi before going to Kitgum for his campaigns.
Gen. Tumukunde kicks off on Tuesday in Rukungiri, Fred Mwesige starts off in Kampala, Nancy Kalembe will begin in Jinja while Joseph Kabuleta will be in Gulu.
The other candidates Nobert Mau and Gen. Mugisha Muntu have not yet submitted their campaigning programmes to the electoral commission for approval.
