Police is searching for a security guard whose identities are unknown who is accused of shooting a S.4 student at a secondary school in Mbale district.

Noah Otaki a student of Bugisu boarding high School found in Northern city division suffered grave injuries after a live bullet hit his right hand yesterday night.

The guard is on the run and was reportedly racking of alcohol when he opened fire at the students.

One of the students at the scene says that the guard stormed the administration block at about 9:00pm yesterday night where an argument was ongoing over theft and demanded that the students return to their dormitories so after several attempts to chase the students away, the guard returned to his security room, picked up a gun and then fired randomly at the students and that’s how Otaki was injured in the process.
