The Uganda national examination board, UNEB is facing financial challenges ahead of the final examinations set for the coming month of March.

However the examination body is now complaining of financial challenges they say might affect the preparation and management of 2020 national examinations.

According to the sources in the examination body, the body lacks funds to finance a number of activities ahead examinations.

Some of the outstanding issues is immediate recruitment and training of over 3500 invigilators and scouts. The board also wants to increase on the number of marking centers from 30 to 40 to ensure compliance of SOPs as per the guidelines on COVID-19.

UNEB has also been seeking an additional 10.46bn Shs to observe SOPs as the UNEB secretary General Dan Odong said.
